Steven Brown has been called “one of the biggest cooking talents this town has ever produced” by James Beard Award–winning food critic Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl, while Minneapolis food scribe and Travel Channel host Andrew Zimmern has said Brown “makes the best food in town, dish-for-dish, pound-for-pound.”

  • Steven Brown is the co-owner and executive culinary director of the award-winning restaurant, Tilia, and the highly-anticipated new restaurant St. Genevieve, which opened in December 2015 in Minneapolis, Minn.
  • In 2014, Chef Steven Brown became a member of the Norwegian Seafood Council. Since joining, he has helped promote Norwegian Seafood through various events and menu offerings. 
  • In 2011, Steven Brown opened Tilia with partner Jörg Pierach. With Tilia, Brown adds the title of restaurateur to his estimable resume, which includes stints as executive chef at Levain and Porter & Frye.
  • His experience also includes stints in New York City; Modena, Italy; and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
